As on November, 2019 there are 457 companies in Ukraine operating Solar Power Plants (SPP), the cumulative capacity of such stations being 3632 MW of electric power. Today the "green tariff" for the SPP set into operation after January 01, 2017 is 0,1502 €/kW·hour (0,1125 €/kW·hour since 2020). The more information about the effective SPPs and the "green tariff'' amount you can see on the National Regulatory Commission in the Sphere of Energy Utilities (NRCEU) website.
While planning to implement an SPP construction project, one should take into account the following factors determining the project success:
- Technical elements of SPP design (distance between rows, mutual systems connection, the system project, etc.);
- Location of the construction site, taking into account the solar radiation intensity value;
- Ability to get connected to the power supply system.
The project development budget on a 'turn-key' basis will be approximately € 700 per 1 MW of the rated capacity on the average. The rate of return, as well as other investment indexes of the project efficiency, depend mainly upon the capital costs amount. Operating costs affect the project economy insignificantly, and the major expenses shall be predefined by the technical service cost, qualified staff maintenance, security, spare parts warehouse maintenance.
